How to Maximize Your Wardrobe and Outfit Repeat in Style
Are you tired of constantly feeling the need to buy new clothes because you’re unsatisfied with what’s in your closet? Do you struggle with outfit repeating in a stylish and suave way? Well, you’re in luck because I have some tips and tricks to help you build a wardrobe that you absolutely love and can’t wait to show off.
Tip number one: Create a color scheme for your wardrobe and stick to it. Not only will this save you money, but it will also make it easier to mix and match your outfits. Choosing colors that are flattering to your skin tone will make you feel more confident in your clothes and more likely to outfit repeat without feeling self-conscious.
For example, I decided on a color scheme of black, white, warm tones of beige, blue, and green. I determined these colors by analyzing which ones I received the most compliments on when I wore them. This eliminates the need to buy clothing that doesn’t fit into your color scheme and won’t get as much use in your wardrobe.
Tip number two: Invest in the right pieces, such as sweater vests, blazers, outerwear, and bags, which I like to call the “Fabulous Five”. These pieces can tie together different elements of your outfit and make it easy to create new combinations. For example, a versatile houndstooth vest can be layered over a variety of different tops, instantly increasing the number of outfit possibilities.
Tip number three: Don’t follow the trends blindly. Consider your personal preferences and body type when shopping for clothes. Avoid buying into trends that don’t align with your style or flatter your figure. For instance, I realized that the tank top and short shorts trend in my community didn’t suit my personal style, so I opted for silhouettes that made me feel more confident and comfortable.
To further avoid the constant need for new clothes, shop for your body type and decide which silhouettes are most flattering for you. Understanding your body shape will help you narrow down your options and prevent purchasing items that you don’t feel confident wearing.
Tip number four: When you feel like an outfit is bland and you don’t want to repeat it, use different accessories to change up the look. Adding statement jewelry or switching up your shoes can instantly elevate an outfit and make it feel fresh and new.
By implementing these tips, you can build a wardrobe that you’re truly satisfied with and confident in. You’ll no longer feel the need to constantly buy new clothes and will be able to outfit repeat in a stylish and suave way. So, embrace your personal style and maximize your wardrobe with these simple yet effective strategies.
