anything that's been kept in the like a flip or anything in an American Eagle that's scratched and it's because it does have a lot of um you know intricate designs and they're very easily scratched well uh when they brought out the Buffalo um which is 24 Karat like the maple leaf first of all the maple leaf was remade with all these radial Lin lines so it doesn't show scratches because you got all those lines in there and no flat surfaces and most people don't know that because they're hard to see where without a magnifier so when they brought the Buffalo out they also decided to have no flat surfaces on it now if you look at it you know a proof buffalo nickel and they actually exist has a lot of flat surfaces everything around the Indian's head and the Buffalo is Polished in on those proofs well there's nothing there's no polished surface on these things now obviously when they make proof uh Buffalo and I have one of those there are flat surfaces but the the coin that's made for you know the you know the mint State coins um have no flat services and they may pick up scratches but you don't see them because they they look like they're part of the so that was intentional to to avoid flat surfaces yeah and also uh makes the dyes last longer if you don't have any flat surfaces wow and that's when now the you know the silver buffalos we're getting are the same they don't have any flat Sur no they're textured you right and you know I was told that you know and I'm not I don't know much about the the pressures they use when they Min coins but I was told that if you have polished surfaces like the buffalos we used to get from sunshine or Highland Min um you will get twice as many if you don't have those flat surfaces and Polished d so that's that's why they they do that on the buffalo rounds because the the whole purpose is to get the damn things out the door because the demand is very high so the best way to do that is don't polish the dice what do you think of
