Uighurs in Turkey demonstrate against China, amid concerns over countries deepening ties

Turkey has chosen the Chinese vaccine – rather than western alternatives – as its main weapon against Covid. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)

Yet the Turks are also hosting tens of thousands of exiled Uighurs – and both issues were discussed when China’s foreign minister visited Turkey today.

China denies using vaccine deliveries as political leverage, but many Uighurs are now nervous about their safety.
