A solid export marketing strategy will include:

1- Build a reputable website.

Professionally design and build a top level domain. Buyers will look you up. Be ready when they do.

Online Tools include: An International multi-language website. It must be mobile translation ready and mobile responsive. Website must have proper lead collection forms to convert visitors into leads. Promote your website using international SEO, Google marketing, social media, email marketing and various b2b portals.

2- Invest and Participate in various international trade fairs: 

Most countries have programs to support start-ups in participating in (foreign trade shows). Google is your friend here.

3- Connect with export promotion council, Chamber of commerce, and foreign embassies to get verified importer details. Discuss how they can help you. Most CoC’s have overseas offices as well and deal with overseas embassies. 

4- Network events/websites. Get your (business) profile out there. Get active on LinkedIn. Join groups. Join various online business communities.

6- Get involved with your industry’s/country’s export organization. Pay membership fee and make sure they include your business in their promotional activities.
