When I originally designed and built the lodge, which incidentally took me 12 years, I tried to put in as many interesting and unusual features as possible. And I was particularly interested in unusual designs for roofing. In Turkey, most of the older buildings don’t have a damp proof course put in. So water rises up the walls and you have to repaint every year, what they call (speaks foreign language) but all the buildings here in this complex have all got damp proof course. I know because I put it in.
