as for when you mentioned attire : Do you believe that a casual/formal hybrid Japanese Yukata would be appropriate or too flashy and attention-drawing? like "you're in the wrong country" ?? I'm from Canada and I wear one anywhere – I mean a straight black one with no logos or patterns, or if any are very subtle

This vlog must have been done pre-COVID. The days of ordering coffee at the bar are over. In addition, I wouldn't watch videos on how to pay for the Metro that were made prior to 2022. The system has been "updated", and it's more digital now.

First time traveler tips for france Best thing to do is when visiting book the eiffel tower and luvre tickets in advance. For eating use uber eats they have gret promos buy one get one free saves a lot of money. Download the app getir you get 15eur credit when spending 17 so u only pay 2eur for 17eur worth of food. Deliveroo also has some promotions so also check those. Stay somewhere near le marais probably the best location to live at if like going out and meeting people… And thats it from me. Good luck

Pozdrawiam.

So many things in this video are wrong. Arrondissements are not neighborhoods. They are administrative districts which contain multiple neighborhoods called quartiers. The marais is much more associated with the 4th arr than the 3rd. 6th arr is not called the left bank. The left bank refers to all the arrondissements on the left side of the river (5, 6, 7, 13, 14, and 15).

I so enjoyed this video of Paris! I can never get enough of this city…I’ve been there seven times with various companions, which in itself is another experience. Now you’ve made me homesick… the only rude person(s) I’ve encountered are Americans and while I’m also one, one needs to be kind, respectful to everyone. I speak very basic French but my favorite time of doing so was in a taxi from Gard de Nord in the 10th arrondissement to my hotel next to the Place de la Concorde. I had forgotten the address so I had to rely on my memory of previous visits to tell him in bad French where it was. After getting us there, I apologized (still in French) to the driver who said in Bad English oooh la la la, I would rather hear bad French than English any day!!

Excellent video with good points to disseminate to people. Just three comments in response to yours:

#3 – When you talked about buying ten tickets to use on the Metro, you didn't mention anything about the Carte Navigo for using public transport. I always try to arrive in Paris on a Sunday or Monday, the first day of the week you can buy a seven-day unlimited pass. In fact, I use the buses and Metro so much that even if I am there for only four or five days, I still get terrific value for it. It even includes round trip transport to/from the airport.

#14 – Ah, Jim Haynes! What a wonderful guy he was. I went to his dinners many times. I've been wondering if anyone is going to take up the mantle for these dinners now that he has died (January 2021).

#15 – Pickpockets got a brief mention. You really do need to be careful of your pants pockets on the Metro. Those thieves are quick!
