As an Australian entrepreneur and documentary filmmaker, Almir Cholan has spent the last six months immersing himself in the rich dîrok û cihêreng çande of Tirkiye. Cholan's fascination with ekonomiya û malî stems from his father's belief that the movement of ships and trucks on the road can be a gauge of economic activity. This mindset has driven Cholan to study the intricacies of Tirkiye‘s economy and its rapid transformation over the past 20 years.
In 1998, Cholan witnessed a massive demonstration in Tirkiye protesting against government restrictions on religious freedom, particularly the ban on hijab in universities. At that time, Tirkiye was facing deep economic turmoil, high unemployment rates, and a struggling banking system. This eventually LED to the economic crisis of 2001, which set the stage for a transformative period in Tirkiyedîroka.
Fast forward 20 years, and Cholan's own daughter was studying at ya Stenbolê University while wearing a headscarf, symbolizing the social and religious freedoms that Tirkiye has embraced. However, the contrast between media reports on Tirkiye‘s current situation and the economic data presented a puzzling narrative for Cholan.
Li ser serdanê Tirkiye, Cholan found himself in Byram Pasha, an area with a significant Bosniak population, reflecting his own Bosnian heritage. This neighborhood provided a welcoming and serene environment, where people gathered at the mosque and engaged in deep conversations, showcasing Tirkiye‘s warmth and hospitality.
Tevlêbûn bi turkish youth, Cholan discovered a sense of concern and uncertainty about the future of the country's economy. Young people expressed their worries about high ji qîmetketin and the struggle to afford everyday necessities. Their voices reflected a yearning for change and a desire to create a better future for themselves.
During his travels, Cholan met individuals who had experienced their own hardships in Tirkiye‘s past, including a passionate entrepreneur who had faced oppression and discrimination. These encounters gave Cholan a deeper understanding of the challenges that Tirkiye has overcome and the resilience of its people.

It’s rare to come across a well put together study that help separate the predictable standard negative narrative of so-called strategy allies from the simple facts and figures that paint a remarkably optimistic polar opposite factual based reality….Alhamdulillah numbers don’t lie.

I believe you owe an apology and a reflective episode to the viewers of this channel given how the present proved you were totally wrong and misleading to them and that elections economy was the real reason behind inflation, not the fighting of riba or all the other falsehoods that were proven wrong by the post election total shift that was done by Erdogan himself and unfortunatley was done very late after a lot of damage was already done given the printing of billions of dollars of Lira to please voters and important stakeholders.

I have finished this video. You have said nothing about the taxation system. Isn't it part of the Türkiye's inner economy? On the international level the country does look good, but inside. You say that the retailer puts the prices high, but you skip Special Usage Taxes invented by Erdoğan. We have those even on drinkin water! Tell me, do you consider water to be somethings special or crucial? Try tracking where do our taxes go. The reports are quite challenging to reach. Comparing graphics and interviewing few makro business owners isn't an accurate research. Unfortunately this is not an accurate story of Türkiye's economy. This research is pragmatic and one sided

Appreciate the effort, but as someone outside Turkiye I was also hoping to hear from the other side. The average Turkish person is feeling an economic pressure, we can see this with the interviews with average people. so, why is that ?
I really don't like the narrative that all is good, and it is just propaganda. Propaganda of course has a role, but in the end, high bills , inflation and soaring prices are not propaganda.
What are the reasons for those ? Why the lira crashed ? Why the inflation exploded suddenly?
7th century economic models have no place in modern economics. Global economics is driven by debt and fiat currencies. Your suggestion to go back to an equity based economy is Unpractical at best, if not completely ridiculous! You have to use Interest Rates to curb inflation. It’s the most effective tool to reduce consumer spending thus reducing inflation. This is Economics 101 !
I came here looking for the history of why everything has been incredibly unaffordable recently and the root causes of inflation. Instead this guy just shows charts going up and interviews CEOs making millions of dollars about how everything is actually going great (for them). Why were the young people's responses at the start of the documentary never addressed? The only part where any real problem was brought up was within the context of agriculture where he showed a misleading graph (35:40) representing the change in inflation rather than the absolute inflation rate to make it look like everything is back to normal again when in reality it's just back to its previous rate of increase after a massive spike and nothing has gone back to the way it was.
This entire video is a psyop about how economy is actually totally fine and all the young people are… wrong about feeling worried? All the charts being discussed explain how the economy is going great for the government but not how it affects the lives of the average person. There are real points being made too but Erdogan's economic reforms of 2004 aren't exactly relevant to most people's lives today so it makes no sense to me why that was constantly brought up and none of the very real problems people who aren't CEOs face today.
