5 İSTANBUL TEKSTİL VE HAMMADDELERİ İHRACATÇILARI BİRLİĞİ

Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters Association (ITHIB) is a leading entity representing the textile exporter of Turkey with its members over 4000. Activating throughout the country, ITHIB members deal with the production and export of various textile products such as yarn, fabric, home textile, industrial/technical fabric and accessories. ITHIB members realize more than 70% of the total textile export of Turkey and form the majority of the Turkish textile manufacturer and exporter.

ITHIB represents its members pursuant to the interests of the textile sector and aims to encourage the sustainable development of Turkish textile export.

In addition to this, ITHIB aims to protect the common interests of Turkish textile sector both in the national and international platforms and also at governmental level. According to this, the activity fields of ITHIB are as following:

INTRODUCTION:

Provides national attendance to the international fairs such as Colombiatex Medelling & Home Textile Southern America, etc. and introduces the Turkish textile products to the world.

Represents its members in world's leading textile fair organizations such as Première Vision Paris, Texworld Paris, Techtextil Frankfurt, Intertextile Shanghai, etc.; opens info stands and organizes workshops.

Realizes its own organizations such as Turkish Fashion and Fabric Fair in New York, London and Milan.

Organizes trade committees for the target markets.

Cooperates with overseas similar organizations, chambers of profession, chambers of trade, trade representatives of embassies, fair organizers and public relation agencies.

Organizes trade committees to the potential and current markets for improving the efficiency of Turkish exporter in the market. Chilli, Brazil, Spain, United Kingdom, Morocco trade committees, purchasing committees from Brazil and Italy and purchasing committee for Evteks Home Textile Fair organized in Istanbul are some of the recent committees.

Operates the textile research and development centre considered as undertaken an important role in encouraging innovative and developmental product development.

DESIGN

In addition to the promotion activities abroad, increases the competition and creative potential of Turkish textile sector with national activities.

Organizes ITHIB Fabric Design Contest, Home Textile Design Contest and Technical Textile Project Contest Organizations since 2006 for the purpose of supporting the young talents and taking them into the sector.

Executes activities for encouraging and supporting design capacity of the sector with periodical seminar and workshops.

TRAINING:

Organizes periodical occupational training courses, fashion seminars and workshops related to foreign trade and marketing for supporting and developing the current activities of its members.

Organizes seminars, conferences, training programs and member related other events for its members.

Provides information and consultancy service to its members for trade policies, market and sector trends, trade data, etc.

Prepares industry and market reports.

REPRESENTATION:

Provides dialogue mechanism with the overseas industries.

Represents the sector in the national and international platforms as the member of various textile entity and organization of Europe and world, such as EURATEX, EUROCOTTON, AIUFFASS, etc.

Improves the cooperation between its members and foreign textile companies through various communication channels like periodical meetings, information sharing and introduction meetings.

ITHIB aims to increase its activities and facilities for the purpose of directing and supporting its members in all target markets with new organizations and attempts.

ITHIB wishes to establish long-term partnerships through constructing a bridge between Turkish textile and raw materials exporters and the worldwide co-workers.

İSTANBUL TEKSTİL VE HAMMADDELERİ İHRACATÇILARI BİRLİĞİ

İstanbul Tekstil ve Hammaddeleri İhracatçıları Birliği (İTHİB), 4000'in üzerinde üyesiyle Türkiye'de tekstil ihracatçısını temsil eden öncü bir kurumdur. Ülke genelinde faaliyet gösteren İTHİB üyeleri, iplik, kumaş, ev tekstili, endüstriyel/teknik kumaş ve aksesuarları gibi her çeşit tekstil ürününün üretimini ve ihracatını yapmaktadır. İTHİB üyeleri Türkiye toplam tekstil ihracatının %70 den fazlasını gerçekleştirerek Türk tekstil üretici ve ihracatçısının büyük çoğunluğunu oluşturmaktadır.

İTHİB, tekstil endüstrisinin menfaatleri doğrultusunda üyelerini temsil etmek ve Türk tekstil ihracatının sürdürülebilir kalkınmasını teşvik etmek amacını taşımaktadır.

Bunun yanısıra, İTHİB gerek ulusal ve uluslararası platformlarda gerek devlet düzeyinde Türk tekstil sanayisinin ortak menfaatlerini koruma amacıyla çalışmakadır. Buna bağlı olarak, İTHİB'in faaliyet alanları aşağıdaki gibi şekillenir:
